"Do's and Don'ts" Fire/Smoke Damage

In the event of a fire we are prepared to handle every aspect of the restoration and cleaning process. Below are a few things that you can do in the event of a fire or smoke damage.

Do....

1. 
   
   Keep movement throughout the location to a minimum to help prevent soot particles from spreading.
2. Clean and protect chrome finish on faucets and other bright work by washing with detergent and applying a coating of petroleum.
3. Empty freezer/refrigerator if electricity is off and prop doors open.

Do Not....

1. Wipe or attempt to wipe fire residues from walls, ceilings or other absorbent surfaces.
2. Send smoke-affected garments to an ordinary dry cleaner; improper cleaning may set in smoke and/or odor.
3. Turn on electrical appliances until they have been cleaned and checked.
